Audemars Piguet x Marvel at the Shed NYC

Art and animation director, 3D template creation, storyboard and visualization artist, Unreal Engine environment design and animation

About the Project

For this large-scale project, Scenester worked with Choreografx to deliver an ambitious projection mapping experience across the façade of The Shed in New York City. In addition to the main architectural projection, video was mapped onto the ground below and lighting was integrated into the surrounding trees, creating a fully immersive environment. The event marked the launch of a limited-edition collaboration between Audemars Piguet and Marvel, featuring a highly detailed Black Panther character on the watch face.

My Role

I directed the full content creation pipeline for the projection mapped content, overseeing everything from acquiring a professional LiDAR scan to building both 3D and 2D content workflows. My role included art directing designers and animators, developing storyboards and preview materials, and working directly with the client to align creative vision and stakeholders. I also contributed hands-on work across final compositing, rendering, and post effects for lighting, as well as on-site Disguise media server programming. The team was provided with 3D character and environment assets and tasked with world building, texturing, animation, and lighting, while adapting the existing campaign concept to the precise technical and spatial demands of large-scale projection mapping.
