About the Project
Over the years, I’ve created live video projections as backdrops for bands and DJs, integrating moving images and sound in real time. One favorite example is this performance with MeLo-X at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. MeLo-X is a Grammy-nominated producer and songwriter whose work includes collaborations with Beyoncé. For this event, Bryan Dodson, my longtime creative partner, and I projected visuals that became an active extension of both the music and the space.
My Role
For this performance, I collaborated with Bryan to create abstract, sound-reactive video projected onto a large screen behind MeLo-X. Through Integrated Visions, Bryan and I have worked with MeLo-X on many occasions and developed a distinct visual style to go along with those collaborations. I also photographed the performance, and the images shown here are my own.
